Antique Scandinavian folk art bent wood tine box from Sweden. Small but very rare and old Georgian period, from 1700s to early part of 1800s as youngest. Rare collectible. Hand made, with cut floral pattern. Hand made iron screws and nails. This kind of cut circular flower pattern was in use in Swedish folk art wood products from renaissance to early 1800s. Initials MPD cut in the underside bottom. Might be from Jamtland, Sweden.
Dimensions: 14,3 cms/5,6" wide, 6 cms/2,3" high and 6 cms/2,3" deep.
Pre-owned, in an old and patinated state. The wood is dry. And there is an hairline from one of the nails. (See picture).
