Description

Victorian bovine bone hand fan, antique ladies hand held folding fan with painted cream silk satin leaf, 1800s beige and cream fan, collectors fan, theatre prop.
Nice pale coloured ladies fan in a cream silk satin with an image of a Georgian lady walking in gardens painted on the front in shades of beige and brown, set to one side leaving the rest of the silk leaf plain. The back of the leaf is a plain teffetta type fabric. The cream coloured guards and sticks are plain and smooth bovine bone both front and back.
Measures approx 11" long by 21" wide when fully open.
Condition
Very good condition for it's age. There are a few age stains throughout and some splitting/fraying to the far left (near the picture) fold where it joins the outer guard and also a shorter area to the right hand outer guard. The back has general age staining and just one split appearing down the centre fold.
