Here is Steiff Dachshund named “Lumpi” with silver script button in the left ear, made in this first edition with glass eyes in 1963/64 only. (Two later editions, produced 1965 to 1974 have plastic eyes.) Our old Dachshund with swivel head is in perfect vintage condition, even sporting his original red dog collar.

Vintage Steiff Dachshund is the smallest size ever produced and measures 11 cm / 4 3/8 inches front paw to the middle of the head and is about 14 cm / 5 ½ inches long nose to buttocks without tail.

Small Steiff Dachshund is made of black and brown/beige mohair. Old dogie is firmly stuffed with wood wool (excelsior), has a swivel head and an open mouth with felt tongue. The nose is embroidered, claws are painted. Old Steiff Dachshund Lumpi is in a hopping pose with his ears flying, a funny little fellow!

Vintage Steiff Dachshund Lumpi would make a fine companion to your darling old doll or sport your vintage toy or Steiff collection tremendously!
