Description

Beautiful, rare umbrella stand from the style-defining 50s 60s of the former GDR (German Democratic Republic). The so-called mid-century rockabilly era. It has a white lacquered cast iron base and the curved tubes are made of brass colored anodised aluminium. The curved tube arms meet at the top center and are attached with a metal ball. Due to the design and the playful shape, a heart can be seen on three sides.

Due to its patina and the clear signs of use, it has a wonderful charm and vintage character. These are intentional and thus testify to its originality. The top ring is deformed, see pictures. In order to preserve the patina and to emphasize it even better, it was treated with linseed oil varnish.

It is the perfect small piece of furniture for storing umbrellas, canes, walking sticks and walking sticks. It is always an eye-catcher in a hallway or in a hallway and spices up your apartment with a nostalgic touch. It can also be used as a rustic and authentic storage item for cane and walking stick collectors. It draws everyone's attention and is a real eye-catcher.
