Here is a very cute and apparently smart Steiff hand puppet fox complete with all IDu2019s and beautiful bushy fox tail! Foxu2019 name is Smardy, he is a bright and crafty fox out of an old arithmetic book of the same name for children. This vintage animal glove puppet was produced from 1964 to 1967 as we can determine from the number given on the yellow label (0318,00) and the old Steiff silver script button in its left ear. The Steiff paper chest tag is present as well.

Old Steiff fox hand puppet is made of red, white, and black mohair with plastic eyes and plastic whiskers. Foxu2019 head is stuffed with wood wool (excelsior), the sheath for the puppet playeru2019s finger is lost, but the puppet is perfectly playable.

Old Steiff Hand - Fox measures 17 cm / 6 u00be inches ? glove only (fits to every average sized adult hand), and 25 cm / 10 inches to his head without ears and tail.
