Description

Antique 1870's or 1880's black Victorian lined heavy lace short sleeve bolero jacket with bead tassels, Victorian, Edwardian or Goth costume.
Very unusual black bolero with the body of the jacket made of a thick heavy open lace lined in a sateen cotton fabric.
The sleeves are a delicate soft tulle which has been decorated with a pleated sheer striped ribbon detail running down the length of the sleeve.
A soft sheer lining sits loosely inside each sleeve which are a fraction longer than the tulle outer sleeves.
All around the front, back and sleeve hems are long cigar shaped fabric beads hanging loosely creating good movement.
Suitable for an alternative wedding or evening jacket.
Measures approx 34 cm across the shoulders, 38 cm across the back hem, 29 cm long sleeves plus 9 cm tassels, centre back length 39 cm plus tassels.
Condition
A small rip to the back neck lining, some of the sleeve detail is loose and a few splits down the sleeve tulle.
