Description

Learn the ancient craft of Nalbinding from a Master Craftsperson with this easy-to-follow workbook. I am now hugely proud to announce that I have been accepted in to the Guild of Master Craftsmen here in the UK. Such an honour to have this marque of quality for my nalbound items and learning resources.

Printed copy of "Kaupeyrir's Beginners Nalbinding Workbook - Oslo Stitch Hat". This book has updated artwork on the cover but content is the same.

A4 booklet, 8 pages with simple steps and detailed illustrations to help you learn this ancient endangered craft. Printed on to 130gsm silk paper and full colour throughout.

Written in English for right-hand dominant crafting. Left handed book available too in a separate listing.

Nalbinding is a single needle 'knotless knitting' technique used to produce garments and accessories. It is the pre-cursor to both knitting and crochet with examples being found as far back as 6500bc. Primarily used to make socks, mittens and hats.

This workbook will guide you through step by step to learn the Oslo Stitch and then how to make your very own hat.

You will also need:
` A nalbinding needle (these can be purchased from my Etsy shop or you can make your own with the template included)
` Super chunky 100% pure wool yarn (approx 100g)
` Tape Measure
` Pen/Pencil
` Water spray bottle (optional)

Further support is available through Kaupeyrir's group or via email if you get stuck.

Please note, no prior experience is necessary but the craft requires fine motor skills and a lot of patience!

This booklet is also available as part of the Beginners Nalbinding Kit which includes needle and yarn too. Find this in my Etsy shop.
