Description

Here comes a beautifully preserved large vintage Steiff gymnastics ball, made of mohair plush in a mosaic pattern of 6 colours. Those fine mohair balls were produced in this size (20 cm / 8 inches diameter) from 1950 to 1982 and since our ball here is filled with what Steiff calls u201cspecial stuffing`, we do know it must have been made from 1950 to 1975, all later editions would have been stuffed with pre-formed foam, and out ball here is not. What the u201cspecial stuffing contains I cannot say, it feels like excelsior. There is one original thread on the vintage gymnastics ball, I presume the original tag may have hung on it.
