The sixpence coin symbolizes the ancient element and good fortune.
The crystal bead represents something blue.
The white Jade bead represents purity and something new and the silver one is borrowed (from the Earth).

The coin has a diameter of approximately 19.3 mm.

From 1947 to 1952 the coins were decorated with King George VI and his monogram of the crowned King George VI.
From 1953 to 1967 it is the right effigy of Queen Elizabeth II and the plants symbols of different parts of the United Kingdom.
