This mini quilt of a Labrador Retriever was made as part of my Little Originals quilt series I created in 2019. It was part of a pair, and the other (which faced right instead of left) was sold here in Calgary, but other than that, it is unique! It is made up from lots of different shades and pieces of fabric, mostly modern or solids with a fair amount of blenders for dimension. It measures 18 1/2" square (47cm).

The quilt took around eight hours to make in my signature Paint By Number style, starting with a drawing and then blowing up to the size of the quilt. The shade is written on each section and then it is traced onto zer paper and used as a cutting template for the fabric pieces. The pieces have edges turned under before being appliqued together and densely quilted to secure the edges. The quilting varies throughout the quilt to replicate fur and the texture of the nose.

The edge has a very dark blue machined binding, and the back is plain muslin as it is intended for display on a wall.

Hanging corners are provided on the back for easy hanging with dowel (not included). Shipping is by tracked mail only. SHIPPING.

Washable at low temperatures and on a gentle setting, drip dry, though it may make it a little more crinklier.
