Beautiful French gilt metal compact powder box with tapestry panel
The box is produced from a lovely gilt metal with embossed niello work. The base has three paw feet, typical of the French "Hollywood" style of the era. The lid has a glazed tapestry panel depicting a floral spray. Inside, there is a mirror and a removable "dish".
