Description

Antique Early Edwardian period Top Quality Perfume Bottle in the grenade style fashioned in beautifully cut cut glass boasting bright cut patterning and closed galleries of proud hob nail cut roundels, the flask is fitted with a sterling silver hinged lid in the button mushroom style, Repousse detailed with ornate scrolled foliate details.
In very good condition throughout, hinged lid runs smoothly and there is nice aged patina to the silver, also the flask is intact with original frosted and pressed glass bottle stopper, keeping the stored perfume safely inside.
Good clear markings are present to the silver collar to the flask indicating Birmingham assay office circa 1902 along with the makers mark for Sanders & Aguilar of Furnival Street, London.
Sanders & Aguilar specialised in perfume bottles, producing the glass and silver fittings themselves.
The Perfume bottle with lid closed stands roughly 12 cm tall and has a body diameter at the centre of 9.3 cm.
Makes for a fine antique piece, still perfectly useable and will bring a touch of fine class to any dressing table setting.
