description
The Quartz 1x8S-2 movie camera was produced from 1974 to 1994 and was distinguished by the fact that it used 8 mm wide film. in a 1x8C cassette.
Its frame size is 4.22x5.69 mm.
This is a more serious camera than the Quartz described above.
A larger frame size allows for better image quality on the screen.
The built-in exposure meter ensures accurate determination of the desired aperture during shooting. The film camera has a good fast lens "Meteor 8M-1" with a relative aperture (minimum aperture) of 1/1.8 and also with a zoom lens, i.e. focal length varies from 9 to 38 mm. by simply turning the lens ring using a convenient lever.
This ensures that the subject is zoomed in and out 4 times.
Focusing is done manually using the lens ring along the microraster through the direct-sight viewfinder.
The camera has five shooting frame rates - 9, 12, 18, 24, 32 frames per second and single frame.
The drive of the broaching and shooting mechanism is spring-loaded, the exposure meter is powered by two RC-53 type EPs.
A very convenient camera with convenient controls and fast film reloading, thanks to the 8C format cassette cartridge.
