Description

Iron external door handle set with key & Legge 2 lever brass mechanism. This Regency design door furniture is from a 200 year old house here in Ireland. It is not as old as that but dates to about 50 years ago when an extension was added to the house.
The cast iron handle set comprises of two black iron lever handles with back plates and the internal mechanism for closing which is silver metal with a brass front.
The set has some nice details including the curve to the lever handles and hammered finish and would suit a number of door designs in particular a rustic heavy wooden door with a farmhouse or country design.
In good condition with slight signs of previous use and age wear the set has been cleaned and oiled and is complete with screws.
Measurements - back plate approx 2 x 6 inches (5 x 15 cms), lever handle 4 inches in length (10 cms).
