Description

This 1972 Canon auto zoom 318m Super 8 Camera is tested and working. Made in Japan. It's an Analog movie video Camera (without a manual, but that can easily be found online). The original eye cap is included. The camera was not tested with film. It is Sold as is.

This affordably priced model had a newly designed 3x zoom lens and a macro shooting mechanism. A compact total reflection mirror was applied to realize a bright single-lens-reflex viewfinder. Very accurate exposure was assured with a voltage stabilized exposure measuring circuit using a monolithic IC, the world's first.

It was lightweight (only 470 grams) and easy to handle, with a plastic exterior, drop-in cartridge loading and a folding grip, which folded forward under the lens.

Dimensions (W x H x D) 60 x 80.6 x 172 mm.

The camera has some visible signs of age and use. In the lens there is sometimes a little red triangle to be seen on the left (it doesn't fill up the whole lens, only about a quarter), but when you use the power switch to record, the triangle also disappears.
The battery compartment is in a good functional condition. It takes 3 AA batteries which will not be included (due to shipping regulations).
