Absolutely precious upcycled traditional Norwegian bunad for girls (size 3-4) in 3 pieces, made with a celebration of vintage materials.

The blouse is made with brushed cotton fabric from the 1980s
The vest is made with floral curtains from the 90s
The skirt of the dress is made with fabric from the 1950s
The apron is made with a scarf from 2000
The belt is made from a 1970s embroidered tablerunner

The shirt has no buttons, which is how bunad shirts are made. It is closed by a real silver pin (called su00f8lje) at the top, which is included with the purchase of the dress. These shirts are meant to be blousy. You can also place a pin to close the bodice. The apron has a snap on the back and there is space to add another snap if necessary. The hem of the apron can be let down. The skirt is fitted with snaps and and inner clasp. The snaps on the skirt can be moved as the child grows.

This kind of bunad is more commonly called a "festdrakt". The term "festdrakt" translates to "party attire" or "celebration costume" in English. It emphasizes the festive and special occasion aspect of these traditional outfits. Bunads are often worn during celebrations such as weddings, confirmations, and national holidays, where they play a central role in expressing Norwegian heritage and pride.

Below you will see the measurements of each piece but both the dress and the apron are customizable in that they are made to be altered to fit as the child grows.

All of the textiles used in this dress are in excellent vintage condition and the craftsmanship is impeccable.
