Description

This elegant vintage Kimono is thought to be from the Showa Period in Japan (1926-1989).

It is pure silk in a soft cream with a light purple geometric pattern all over. The lining is partly cream and light purple at the hem and inner cuffs of the sleeves.
As with all vintage items there maybe some small signs of age. This Kimono has some faint stains around the collar and towards the bottom pictured). However overall this Kimono is in very good condition.

The length is 155cm

Kimono are made with a generous amount of material and are traditionally worn with any excess length of fabric folded under the Obi (the traditional sash worn around the waist). Kimono are very versatile; they can be worn as a dress, an elegant long coat, a dressing gown or they can be used as a wonderful decoration or back drop for set dressing and for interior decoration.
