DescriptionAntique French fine cotton lawn hand embroidered petticoat/skirt, lace frill.
Top of skirt about 8u00bd" deep, drawstring ties.
Band of white work insert about 5/8" deep joining top of skirt to full/gathered embroidered base.
Scalloped embroidered skirt just over 19" long.
Inside is a 10" deep lining sewn into this insert.
The floral white work embroidery about 12" deep.
Petticoat/skirt about 31" total length.
The waist band 26" wide, drawstring ties.
When ironing I found an area of very small pin head holes and another with a tiny tear, photographed, difficult to spot amongst the folds.
See photos of some loose threads where the skirt has been let down from the top.
A pale rust mark on lining.
130g
For information, I personally wash and iron all of the linen for sale at 'Frenchaffaires'.
