Description

The Enfants-Rouges covered market was created in 1615. Located at 39 rue de Bretagne, in the 3rd arrondissement of Paris, it is the oldest food market in the capital. Long nicknamed the u201clittle Marais market`, it was only at the end of the 18th century that it acquired its current name, in reference to a former orphanage and hospital, the Hospice des Enfants-Rouges.
