DescriptionA stunning quartz crystal point adorned with a beauitiful shell and orange garnet. All encased in pure copper and darkened for a rustic feel.
Strung on a 24" pure copper chain.
Simply, electroforming is the intricate process of controlling a metal deposit of, in this case, copper, onto a conductive surface. Basically a thick u201cskin` of copper is built up on the surface of the pieces.
I use electroforming as a tool and method to apply copper on my pieces with a process that includes a chemical bath using 22 gauge copper wiring. It does take time and patience to acquire the skill to produce the right amount and the right consistency of copper but I love to use copper as it allows me to be more spontaneous and creative than using other metals.
Handmade with love~
