Description( Postage Worldwide) - Superb 1970's solid Oak weather station fully restored (See lower down for full details)
Attractive vertical wall hanging solid Oak frame with brass corners housing three weather instruments:
Thermometer measures temperature in both Celsius & Fahrenheit
Barometer measures air pressure in both Millibars & InHg
Hygrometer measures humidity as a percentage (%)
Approximate dimensions: 42cm high x 14cm width x 4cm depth
(16.5" x 5.5" x 1.5")
This beautiful 1970's weather station by Taylor, with instruments made in Japan, has undergone a fully restoration. The Oak frame has been stripped back, sanded and protected with lacquer. The brass corners have also been stripped, cleaned and re-lacquered. The silver plastic dial frames have been sanded down and fresh silver paint applied. The clear plastic faces have been cleaned: The barometer cover has a crack across it (see photos) but does not affect it's operation, or indeed it's looks, as it is barely visible from a few steps back. The other two are crack , just a few age marks as to be expected.
A stunning example of it's type, working very well indeed, looking for a new appreciative home!
