Description

( Postage Worldwide) - Help predict the changing weather with this handsome chap! A classic 1970's wall barometer designed by Comitti of London (a British company founded in 1845 by Onorato Comitti, an Italian precision instrument maker who moved to England, and started a business designing and manufacturing barometers - his initials are still visible either side of their anchor logo)

This smart chap is made from solid striped pine, and has had a full check up and make over, his old stained lacquer has been stripped, and after a full sanding, he has been relacquer to protect his looks for years to come. The brass bezel has also been stripped, cleaned and re-lacquered. The glass has been cleaned inside and out, it does have a few very small historical scratches which really do not detract. See photos

His mechanism is working well. It has been checked and de-fluffed, and appears accurate. Any discrepancies can be corrected via a small screw on the reverse (check local air pressure online and set accordingly)

He measures air pressure in both Inches and Millibars

Black indicator hand and brass reference hand

Approximate size: 16.5cm x 16.5cm x 3.5cm (6.5" x 6.5" x 1.5")

A 1970's classic scientific instrument in great restored working order

A great practical retro wall mounted weather station, and a great potential gift idea
