Description

( Postage Worldwide) - Incredibly rare in this condition, this Bakelite barometer is working well. The Bakelite itself is of a wonderful dark russet red, the face is surrounded by a silvered metal frame. The barometer was made in 1947, apparently given as a prize in a Southern Roads cycling competition!

He measures air pressure in inches (InHg) - Predicting changing weather conditions well. A gentle tap moves the needle in the direction of change.

It was designed to be hung on the wall, but could possibly be modified to stand.
One rear screw was missing due to an internal chip, and has been replaced and secured.
The whole body has been cleaned and preserved with a protective lacquer.

An exceptionally beautiful 1940's design, in great vintage condition.

Approximate size: 10" width x 6.5" height x 2" depth (25.5cm x 16.5cm x 5cm)

A handsome barometer, looking for a new appreciative home!
