Description

The gripper strip to the embroidery punch needle frame. Gripper strip is used to make the embroidery frame by yourself. It is made of a rubber material on which it is punched
a very large number of thin metal teeth. The strip is attached to wooden planks and thus forms a gripper frame.
When you stretch the fabric over the frame, the metal cloves grip the fabric and tighten it. The tape is 100cm long, but you can cut it into shorter pieces,
to do this, first remove the metal teeth from where you want to cut it.

The gripper frame is a great device, reusable, used and recommended by professionals such as: Amy Oxford or Rose Pearlman.
The gripper frame tightens the fabric much more than, for example, an embroidery hoop. It is also convenient because the fabric can be used after finishing the work
easy to remove (you do not need to remove the mounting tabs, as e.g. after working on a wooden loom.

Wire density: 380PPSI (dots per square inch)
Dimensions: length 100cm x width 3.175cm
Suitable fabrics: Suitable for monks cloth and linen

When making the gripper frame, make sure the teeth are facing outwards!

What is this PPSI about? This is a measure of the density of the wires on the strip. There are strips of various densities on the market.
380PPSI is the best density for holding fabrics such as monks cloth and linen, i.e. those fabrics,
which we most often use in punch needle. The remaining densities are simply suitable for other fabrics:

-300ppsi is suitable for jute and loose linen
-380 ppsi is suitable for monks cloth and linen loose weave
-480 ppsi is suitable for thick linen
