Description

Here comes a rare vintage Steiff lying Collie or Border Collie with all IDs present; Steiff silver script button, yellow label (2325,00 price section cut off), and name/chest tag are all in place!
Our old Steiff Collie here measures 25 cm / 10 inches front paw to butt without tail, 32 cm / 12 u00be inches front paw to tail end, and 16 cm / 6 3/8 inches to the tip of its ear.

Steiff lying Collie was produced from 1965 to 1967 in this second last edition with plastic eyes (edition 1960 to 1964 would have glass eyes, and last edition 1968 to 1975 has another label number).
The beautiful old dog has an open moth with red felt tongue, and excellent full long hair brown-black-white mohair, look at that mane! The nose misses one stitch and claw stitches are all present. Steiff Collie is firmly stuffed with wood wool (excelsior).
This model never had a squeaker.

These dogs are famous for being the most intelligent dog bread and excellent sheep dogs.
