Chapmans of Longton, Standard China.
Teapot, Cup and Saucer

A beautifully produced piece of Bone China from the Staffordshire Potteries. The design has been outlined by a transfer print and then hand painted. A lot of hand work gone into this. The back stamp and Registered design number date it to 1930, the art deco period. The floral design however looks more like the earlier Art Nouveaux period. Perhaps the squared off shape is just a nod to the more angular Art Deco designs of the 30s.
The teapot measures 14.5 Cm from the tip of the spout to the handle and 16 Cm high to the top of the finial. It has a capacity of 750 Ml (3 cups). The cup is 6 Cm across the rim and 6 Cm deep. The Saucer is 13 Cm across diagonal.
History
This pottery started production in 1916 as a susiduary of Thomas Wild, the pottery that produced Royal Albert China, a family name in Bone China. They ceased production 50 years later in 1966 when many potteries in Staffordshire were closing down.
