A pair of Antique Art Nouveau Ca 1910 Bronzed Cast Iron Book Ends French Image by Jean Francois Millet Titled The Angelus Prayer at Harvest Ca 1859. The Image shown on these Art Nouveau Bronzed Cast Iron Book Ends is an Interpretation of French Artist Jean Francois Millet Art 1859 Portrait The Angelus Prayer at Harvest. The Angelus is a Christian Prayer of thanks typically offered at Noon. This pair of bookends were hand cast from 2 Lbs of Iron into a mold of fine detail and the bronze patina added at the factory. They measure 5 Inches wide and 5 Inches Tall and 2.25 Inches Deep. The condition is clean excellent with no chips, cracks or stains with patina consistent and good threw out both pairs. This is an early casting so the portrait The Angelus Prayer at Harvest by Jean Francois Millet maintains a lot of detail. There is the number 74 located on the back that is the factory model or mold number. We have also replaced the felt pad on the underside as it still had the original but unfortunately had deteriorated to much with black felt.

This is a nice set of Art Nouveau Antique Cast Iron Book Ends that are in excellent condition and will still serve as originally intended and make an excellent addition to any home library. They are also a nice piece of collectable art good on their Own for display
