DescriptionThis gorgeous antique sterling silver large oval locket is dated 1879. Beautifully engraved with a floral motif in the from of the locket and a geometric, scrolled motif on the reverse. Distinctively different designs on the from and back make this locket unique and it allow you to wear either side facing for a completely different look. Fully hallmarked for Birmingham, together with a date's and maker's mark. Probably made by Willmore and Co.
The top of the locket has a larger teardrop bale, so you can attach any style of your favourite chain or perhaps wear it with a ribbon. The locket opens to reveal two compartments for the pictures. It closes tightly and securely with a solid click.
