Description

Wonderful blue and green vintage art deco flapper lariat tassel sautoir necklace with intricate beadwork including a sphere, a flower and thistles.

The seed beads include interwoven lengths of pale green and blue carnival peacock glass. The flower is pale blue with a pale lavender edge on the petals.

An asymmetrical feature with translucent AB bi-cone beads on one side adds further interest and sparkle, along with other feature beads.

This unique necklace is ideal for your very own statement look, or to wear to a 1920's dressing-up party, or for a gift for a lady who simply loves vintage costume jewellery.

Estimated circa 1920s - early 1930's.

The extra long loop is approximately 83 cm / 32.5" opera length to the ball, the ball is approx. 3.5 cm / 1.3" diameter, and the tassel is approximately 26 cm / 10" long. The tassel typically ends around the hips.

No clasp (goes over the head).

The inner sphere material is unknown, possibly a hard papier mu00e2chu00e9.

Very good pre-loved vintage condition. Minor signs of wear. Some of the small pale green seed beads have lost tiny areas of their coating but this does not detract from the necklace as a whole. There is a little bit of extra thread space on one of the lengths of bi-cone beads.
