***NEW AND IMPROVED!***

This listing is for 1 line winder or lucet (also known as a knitting fork) a historical Viking lucet replica made of bone, a traditional knitting tool for weaving cords and strings. It is also speculated that the original find was a fishing line winder.

Lucets Make a square, stretchy cord and can be used for Viking / Medieval Reenactment / LARP / SCA.

This Viking knitting tool features a carved zoomorphic motif that appears to depict a bird and was made from a Viking Age find found on a farm in Su00f8mhovd in northern Norway.

The historical lucet was made of whalebone. This Viking lucet replica, on the other hand, is made of cattle bone and measures 40 X 120mm

There are several known finds of knitting tools from the time of the Vikings, as shown by several finds of historical knitting forks that were used for braiding cords and strings.

I sell a range of other cord making and weaving tools in my shop along with kits and instructions on how to make your own cord with this tool.

Yarn not included.

This is a handmade product made from natural materials so imperfection may occur.
