Description

ud83eudde1A small darning loom based on the original 1960s 'Speedweve' design.
ud83eudde1This very handy tool will help to speed up patching holes in clothes or threadbare areas.
ud83eudde1A darning loom has two parts: a wooden disk and a metal loom. The wooden disk has a groove around the side so you can attach the loom to the disc using an elastic band.
ud83eudde1Run your fingers across the chain of hooks at the top to make the metal hooks flip one way and the other. This alternates the height of the warp/vertical threads so you can quickly and accurately weave over and under.
ud83eudde1This design has 14 28 42hooks instead of 10 on the original design, which helps you create closely woven darns using embroidery thread or similar. It makes it perfect for darning cotton, silk or linen fabrics e.g. cotton dress, linen trousers, silk vest or lightweight denim.

1.Dam on right side. Now to assemble, place wood part under repair, then one rubber band to hold material in groove.Metal part is now fitted in groove and your second rubber band will be hold both parts to gather,To commence daming, stitch thread to material, pass around one hook bringing thread down to fasten on to stocking.Repeat this over each hook till hole is coverd.Note--It is not necessary to use all hooks, use enough to cover repair
2.Run EYE of needle through passage between rows of threads, press needle down before withdrawing, this will close the weave, now fasten thread to stocking.Slide finger along chain of hooks to change rows, continue repeating this movement till dam is completed.
3.Dam now showing needle completing last row of threads.
