Description

this is one of the gathering baskets I have made in the past few years.
specifically from a private collection of caps.
the color theme from this particular collection spoke to me.
It said fire.
when looking at it you can see on the base the black caps (coals) from Deschutes brewery, then Red from the great northern brewing company, on to fat tire of new belgium(orange) then to pyramid (yellow), and last hidden under the handle two caps of big sky brewing company out of missoula.
they are blue caps with a long horn skull in them. There are even a couple of red cider caps on the base, so they may get overlooked, but trust me they are there.
so why should I put this gem up in the store to sell?
Same reason I sell other artwork when someone takes a shine to it when I am out gathering caps to create more artwork.
To get it into a new home where it shall be loved cherished and hopefully put to good use.
which brings me to the next thing to tell, this basket has seen some use in my garden.
it has gone out gathering mushrooms, picking up rocks with a friends kid, gathering odd things found on a nature hike, and has been dropped more times than I can remember.
yet somehow it still manages to look like a camp fire and something to be used during the summertime for exploration and adventure.
Of course I could be wrong.
someone could decide it should go to a loving place on a shelf as artwork.
Either way for a modest adoption fee, and some shipping, I am willing to get this lovely bit of artwork to a new home.
now for some nitty gritty details.
the basket is 10 by 12 by 10.5 inches.
the 12 is tall the ten is lip to lip and the 10.5 is from edge of handle to edge of handle.
She weighs in at 604 grams or one and one third pounds plus or minus a touch.
Her exterior are bottle caps from various breweries sporting lively colors resembling flame in the construction and the whole shebang is held together with electric fence wire.
now why would I decide this basket is a feminine?
having been married 20 plus years, and having seen my wife's temper Firey is about the only description adequate.Words to the wise, my wife is an aries, and laughed at the description her words were what did you expect?
now on to brass tacks.
the details on shipping will be the buyer pays shipping, the fee for adoption is 30$ the shipping is approximately 10$ (9.95 through USPS )
